Laura Nagy was born and raised in Montreal and relocated to Manitoba over ten years ago after completing her studies at the University of Ottawa. She received her accreditation from the Federation of Law Societies of Canada in 2017 and has been a member of the Manitoba Bar for eight  years. She specializes in criminal law. 

Ms. Nagy has been practising with Simmonds & Associates for over a year and also has several years of experience in family law. She provides legal services in both French and English, is fluent in Hungarian, and continues to learn additional languages out of personal interest. 

Actively engaged in her community, she serves on the board of directors of the local charity Street Links, which provides social services and care to vulnerable and unhoused individuals living with addiction and substance misuse. She has also volunteered for several years as a board member of the Association des juristes d’expression française du Manitoba. In addition, she has had the honour of serving as a chair member of the Mental Health Review Board since 2019.
