Today, Ginette Lavack, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Indigenous Services and Member of Parliament for St. Boniface—St. Vital, on behalf of the Honourable Marjorie Michel, Minister of Health, announced an investment of more than $2 million over four years to the Government of Manitoba to improve access to health services in French in the province.

The Manitoba government is investing more than $9.45 million in eight bilingual rural municipalities to upgrade fire protection services, critical infrastructure and recreation services, Municipal and Northern Relations Minister Glen Simard announced on November 20, 2025.

Health PEI is proud to announce the launch of Prince Edward Island’s first French Adult Day Program (ADP) — a community-based home care service designed to support older Francophone and bilingual adults and their caregivers. The program is offered in the Evangeline area and is part of a collaboration with Acadian and Francophone Affairs Secretariat and l’Association des Francophones de l’âge d’or de l’ÎPÉ. The program is jointly funded by the Government of Prince Edward Island and the Government of Canada via the Canada PEI Agreement on Services in the Minority Language 2023-2028.

This funding will help the province offer quality French as a minority language and French as a second language education, from preschool to the post-secondary level. An investment by the Government of Nova Scotia is also planned to support the aims of the Agreement.

On October 6, 2025, Marie-France Lalonde, Member of Parliament (Orléans), reiterated the Government of Canada’s commitment to Francophone communities by announcing the signing of the Canada–Ontario Agreement on Minority-Language Education and Second Official-Language Instruction 2024–2025 to 2027–2028. She made this announcement on behalf of the Honourable Steven Guilbeault, Minister of Canadian Identity and Culture and Minister responsible for Official Languages.

As Ontario marks Franco-Ontarian Day, Premier Doug Ford and Caroline Mulroney, Minister of Francophone Affairs, issued the following statement:
“On September 25, we proudly celebrate Ontario’s Francophone community and all their contributions to this land over 400 years. Through its language and culture, the Franco-Ontarian community continues to enrich our province and contribute to its strength, diversity and prosperity.
The BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC) continues its collaboration with RésoSanté Colombie-Britannique to extend mental health services to the Francophone community in British Columbia. In the fall of 2024, RésoSanté opened Santé Ouest in Vancouver – the first Francophone community health centre in BC with an aim to promote equity of access to French-language healthcare services by reducing language barriers for French-speaking populations.
