Québec will take over from France as president of TV5 in 2022 and 2023. The handover of the presidency was highlighted at the meeting of senior officials from TV5’s funding governments, which ends today.

The Government of Québec also announced an investment of $1.6 million over three years to clear the rights to Quebec programs presented on the TV5MONDEplus platform. This new contribution is in addition to recurring contributions from the Government of Quebec, which amount to nearly $6.1 million annually.
