About us
The Ministers’ Council on the Canadian Francophonie (MCCF) is the only intergovernmental forum dedicated to issues affecting the Canadian Francophonie. Created in 1994, it is made up of federal, provincial, and territorial ministers responsible for French-language services, Francophonie or Official Languages in their government. The MCCF deals with various issues related to the Francophonie in all spheres of government activity. It guides intergovernmental cooperation initiatives and plays a unifying role in supporting the development of communities.
Each year, MCCF member ministers meet to consider various subjects and maintain a favorable dialogue to the development of public policies that strengthen linguistic duality in the country.
