Conference ministrielle sur la francophonie canadienne / Ministrel Conference on the Canadian Francophonie
Conférences

The first conference was held in 1994 in Moncton, New Brunswick at the First World Acadian Congress. The moment seemed opportune to bring together ministers provincial, territorial and federal agencies to discuss the services available to Francophone and Acadian communities outside Quebec.

It was rather a sensitization meeting. A round table has allowed everyone to talk about her situation, policies and structures of services from its French-language community. We touched briefly on the information highway as a tool to better serve the Francophone community, but nothing definite has been decided at that time. Elected officials have nevertheless concluded that it was important to continue to have ministerial meetings on Francophone Affairs.
